Telephony cards provide the telephony interface to the system. Commercial AG4000 T1 and E1 telephony cards for the Avaya IR system are manufactured by Natural Microsystems (NMS). The T1 cards are physically different from the E1 cards. The dual T1 or E1 telephony cards for the Sun Blade 150 platform and the quad T1 or E1 telephony cards for the Sun Fire 280R or the Sun Fire V240 platforms support the following:
The Avaya IR system can have a maximum of two telephony cards. Using a third telephony card or another card in either the third PCI slot for the Sun Blade 150 or the fourth PCI slot for the Sun Fire 280R exceeds the limits of the power supply and system resources.
