Packet-based call transfer
Call transfer in a packet-based configuration requires interaction with the DEFINITY or MultiVantage system:
- To transfer calls on VoIP channels, the VoIP subsystem:
- Places the primary call on hold.
- Places a secondary call to the DEFINITY or MultiVantage system, which acts as the Gateway.
- Forwards DNIS, ANI and UUI information, if it is available.
- Sends an instruction to the DEFINITY or MultiVantage system to establish the transferred call.
- The DEFINITY or MultiVantage system completes the transfer and clears the secondary call.
- The VoIP subsystem clears the primary call.
