Determining the software release

To know which service pack to install on your system, you must know the software release currently installed on Avaya IR system.

To determine the current software release:

1. If necessary, log in as root.
2. At the command prompt, enter pkginfo -l AVir

   The system displays a message similar to the following:

   PKGINST: AVir
NAME: Interactive Response Base System
CATEGORY: IVR
ARCH: sparc.sun4u
VERSION: 1.2.1.085
VENDOR: Avaya Inc.
PSTAMP: 20040407032242
INSTDATE: Apr 12 2004 11:59
STATUS: completely installed
FILES: 619 installed pathnames
41 shared pathnames
23 linked files
80 directories
196 executables
5 setuid/setgid executables
115397 blocks used (approx)

   The first three numbers of VERSION are the release number, in this case 1.2.1, the last three numbers are the software build number.
