Types of WebLM servers
The IR system contacts two types of servers:
- The first point of contact for licenses required by the IR system is called the Primary WebLM server. You can designate a WebLM server as Primary, by configuring the IP address of that WebLM server in the Primary WebLM Server URL field on the License Configuration screen. - The second point of contact for licenses required by the IR system is called the Secondary WebLM server. You can designate a WebLM server as Secondary, by configuring the IP address of that WebLM server in the Secondary WebLM Server URL field on the License Configuration screen. For more information, see License Configuration screen.
The total number of licenses acquired by the IR system is:
- The total number of individual licenses acquired by the Primary WebLM server, if the Primary WebLM server is the only WebLM server installed
- The sum of the total number of individual licenses acquired by the Primary and Secondary WebLM servers if both the Primary and Secondary WebLM servers are installed.
