Changing the Message Networking networking addressing

This topic provides the steps you must complete to change the IP address, domain name, or host name of the Message Networking system after initial system administration.

To change the IP address, domain name, or host name of the Message Networking system:

1. On the Message Networking system, modify the IP Address, Domain Name, or Host Name on the Network Addressing page.
2. If you changed the IP Address or Domain Name in Step 1, open the General Parameters page to verify that the updated Domain Name or IP Address displays correctly on the General Parameters page.
3. If you changed the Host Name in Step 1, log out of the Message Networking system and log back in.
4. From each remote machine using a digital protocol (such as Modular Messaging), request an update from the Message Networking system.
