This topic provides the steps you must complete to change the network address length of the Message Networking system after initial system administration. If you change the Network Address Length field on the General Parameters page after initial administration without completing the required steps, the system displays error messages and will not function properly.
Notes:
- If you have not yet administered any subscribers, dial plan mapping, or Enterprise List extension ranges, you do not need to complete any additional steps before modifying the Network Address Length on the General Parameters page.
- If you have administered Enterprise List extension ranges, but have not yet administered any subscribers or dial plan mapping, you must remove the Enterprise List extension ranges before modifying the Network Address Length on the General Parameters page. If you do not delete the Enterprise List extension ranges before changing the Network Address Length, the system displays an error message.
