This topic provides information about configuring the minimum alarm
severity and alarm suppression settings for secondary NMSs. The
minimum severity and alarm suppression values you administer apply
to all secondary NMSs for alarms.
Note: Alarm severity and suppression for the primary
NMS is set on the Alarm Management page. See Administering
Alarm Management for more information.
To configure the minimum alarm severity and alarm suppression settings
for NMSs for alarms:
- Start at the Administration menu, and then select Basic
System Administration > SNMP Administration
> SNMP NMS Administration for Alarms.
The system displays the SNMP NMS Administration for Alarms page.
- Configure the Minimum
Severity to Send and the Alarm
Suppression fields on this page. You can click the field names
or click Help on the Web-based administration page to view
more information.
- Click Save.
The system saves your changes.
- Click OK to confirm your settings. The system
displays the new minimum severity and alarm suppression settings.
- Click Back to return to the SNMP Administration page,
or click Return to Main to return to the Administration
menu.
