This topic provides information about modifying the community selected
for existing SNMP network management stations (NMSs) capable of
monitoring alarms in the system. NMSs can be configured to monitor
(but not to acknowledge) alarm and event information in the system.
To modify an existing SNMP NMS for alarms in the system:
- Start at the Administration menu, and then select Basic
System Administration > SNMP Administration
> SNMP NMS Administration for Alarms.
The system displays the SNMP NMS Administration for Alarms page.
- In the table on this page, select the SNMP NMS for alarms that
you want to modify.
- Click Change.
The system displays the Change An Existing SNMP NMS for Alarms
page.
- Complete the fields
on the page. You can click the field names or Help
on the Web-based administration page to view more information.
- Click Save.
The system saves your changes.
- Click OK to confirm changes to the selected
community.
The system displays the SNMP NMS Administration for Alarms page
with an updated list of existing NMSs capable of monitoring system
alarms.
- Click Back to return to the SNMP Administration
menu, or click Return to Main to return to the
Administration menu.
