AMIS Analog Timing Parameter Definition

Use the AMIS Analog Timing Parameter Definition page to configure the timing definitions used by the AMIS Analog protocol. A number of predefined timing definitions are provided with the system but you can also add custom timing definitions. You can also modify and delete timing definitions.

When you administer remote parameters for an AMIS remote machine, you use the Timing Type parameter to specify the AMIS timing parameters to use for that remote machine.

The following table lists the parameters that comprise a timing definition.

Field Description
ID A number that identifies the timing definition.

Note: Use a number greater than 10,000 for customer-assigned IDs.

Type Specifies the name of the remote machine associated with this timing parameter definition.
Sending Tx Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before transmitting an analog protocol frame to a remote machine.
Sending Resp Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before sending a response to a remote machine.
Play Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before playing a message for a remote machine.
Rcv Tx Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before looking for or acknowledging an analog protocol frame from a remote machine.
Rcv Resp Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before sending a response to a remote machine.
Rec Delay Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before recording a message from a remote machine.

The following table lists the predefined timing definitions that are provided with system.

Note: While you can modify the timing parameters for the predefined timing types, it is recommended that you do not change the defaults as this can adversely affect the quality of messaging.

Machine Name Sending Receiving
Transmit Response Play Transmit Response Record
Default 3 0 5 4 0 1
Rolm 5 5 2 4 1 1
VMX 2 2 2 4 1 1
Octel 5 5 5 2 1 1
DEFINITY AUDIX 5 3 3 4 1 1
Nortel 3 5 2 6 2 1
