The philosophy behind the maintenance of a Message Networking
system is that the system provides a single point of reference for
troubleshooting a problem, regardless of the system configuration.
All applications use the same alarm log to report errors occurring
within an application or in its interaction with other applications.
The alarm log receives entries
from all areas of the system (including the Message Networking-specific modules),
prioritizes the alarms according to severity, and makes the alarms
accessible.
