This topic provides information on using the Message Networking Help system:
- The Message Networking Help pages provide the following navigation features:
- Menu bar. The menu bar displayed across the top of
the page provides access to the different areas of the Help.
- "You are here" links. The series of links
displayed under the menu bar, also referred to as breadcrumbs, indicate where the topic you are
viewing fits into the Help system organization. The Home link
returns you to the main page of the Help (called the Index).
- General navigation links. The links displayed in the
upper-right corner and at the bottom of each Help topic provide
general navigation features, such as moving back and forward
between Help topics you view, searching the Help, and closing
the Help window.
- The Index provides access to topics in the following categories:
- Getting Started. Provides basic information about
installing the system, concepts and features, and using this
Help system.
- Installing and upgrading the system. Provides access to installing a new Message Networking system or upgrading an existing Message Networking system's hardware or software.
- Administering the system. Provides links to topics that describe
how to administer the various features and capabilities of
the system.
- Monitoring and maintaining the system. Provide a list of links describing the
system hardware, system alarm and event logs, and procedures
for diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks.
- Reference. Provides links to reference information
such as the glossary.
- Use the scroll bar at the right to scroll down a Help topic
page.
- Links are navigation devices that allow you to move quickly
to another area of the current file or to another file in the
Help system. Links are indicated by blue underlined text. Links
can also take you to other areas of text where you will find related
information. Move your pointer over any part of the blue underlined
text. The pointer changes to a finger. Click anywhere in the blue
text to activate the link. Links change from blue to gold after
you view them.
- When viewing the Help, you can maximize the Help page of your
browser or resize it for easy viewing.
- You can use most functions of the browser, such as:
- Click the Back button to return to the previous level
in the application's menu hierarchy.
- Click the Print button to print a topic.
- Use the Edit > Find feature for finding
specific information in a topic.
