Platform User Database Audit

Use this page to view audit information on your database. During normal operation, the messaging databases work independently of each other under the direction of a set of software and hardware processes. These processes coordinate the files, databases, and system hardware. Since databases are handled separately, it is possible for one database to contain information that conflicts with another database. For example, if a subscriber is removed from the Message Networking database, other databases could still contain messages addressed to that subscriber.

To reconcile possible conflicts among databases, software programs called audits run automatically (or can be performed on demand) to check for inconsistencies and, when possible, update information in databases to correct problems. For example, audits remove all references to a deleted subscriber.

To perform this audit on demand:

  1. Start at the Administration menu, and select Utilities > Platform User Database Audit.
The system displays the Platform User Database Audit page.
  2. Click Run Audit.
  3. When a message asks if you want to run this audit, click OK.
  4. Click View Result to display the results of the audit.
If the audit is successful, the system displays the following message:

"System Manager Database Audit is successfully done."

If the audit terminates before completion, the system displays the following message:

System Manager Database Audit is terminated because of <reason>."

  5. Click Return to Main to return to the Administration menu.
