Performing an MAS attended backup

This topic describes how to perform an attended backup of Messaging Application Server (MAS) data, including the System State and other MAS system files. Use this procedure to back up MAS data at any time.

To perform an MAS attended backup:

1. Double-click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the Desktop.

The system displays the Scheduled Tasks window.

2. Right click the backup task and select Run.

The status column shows the task as running, and then the system immediately begins to back up data using the S3400 private LAN to copy data from the MAS to the Message Storage Server (MSS).

3. Verify that the backup completes successfully.
