Blocking or reinstating access privileges for an ASG login

You can block Access Security Gateway (ASG) login access temporarily if necessary. Use this task to block or reinstate access privileges for an ASG login.

To block or reinstate access for the ASG login:

  1. Start at the Messaging Administration main menu and select:
  2. Basic System Administration
         Access Security Gateway (ASG) Administration
              ASG Security Login Administration

The system displays the ASG Security Login Administration page.

  3. Select the Login ID (User ID) that you want to block or reinstate. You can choose only from the IDs in the list. You cannot create new IDs.
  4. To block the user's access to the system, select Blocked from the Authentication Type drop-down list.
  5. To reinstate the user's access to the system, select ASG from the Authentication Type drop-down list.

For more information, click the field names or Help on the web-based administration page.
  6. Click Save to accept the page settings.

    A confirmation page displays.

  7. Click Back in the web browser to return to the ASG Security Login Administration page or, if you are finished administering ASG, click Return to Main.
