MISCELLANEOUS PARAMETERS
System Prime Time, Start:
End:

Defaults:
Start = 8:00

The starting time for the prime-time interval for traffic collection and multiple personal greetings. This is normally the time your company opens for business.

The ending time for the prime-time interval for traffic collection and multiple personal greetings. This is normally the time your company closes.

Increment (l/s), Rewind:
Advance:
Default: s = short

Valid input:
s = short
l = long

Specifies the amount of time a message is rewound if the user presses 5 (Rewind) or presses 6 (Advance).

s sets the rewind and advance amounts to 4 seconds.

l sets the amounts to 10 seconds.

FEATURE ACTIVATION
Traffic Collection?

Default: y

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Enables or disables the collection of traffic data.

Name Record by Subscriber?

Default: y

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Indicates whether subscribers may record their own names. If this field is set to n, only the system administrator (or a subscriber with Announcement Control permission) can record names.

Multiple Personal Greetings?

Default: y

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Indicates whether the multiple personal greeting feature is active. The multiple personal greetings feature is applied to the entire system.

End of Message Warning?

Default: y

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Indicates whether the End of Message Warning feature will be used.

Warning Time (seconds):

Default: 15

Valid input:
blank
0
15–60

The number of seconds before the end of the allotted message recording time at which the End of Message Warning" prompt will be played.

The field can be left blank only if the feature is not active.

Entering 0 (zero) implies that the warning will not be played.

Priority on Call Answer?

Default: y

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Enables or disables the Priority on call answer feature, which allows a call-answer caller to designate a call-answer message as a priority message.

Callers can designate the message as private, regardless of this setting.

Call Answer Disable?

Default: n

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Allows or prevents subscribers to disable call answer.

If this field is set to y, callers hear the subscriber's greeting but cannot leave a message. Subscribers are addressed to record appropriate instructions in their personal greetings so that callers can understand the options.

Address Before Record?

Default: n

Valid input:
y = yes
n = no

Enables or disables the system to prompt subscribers to address a message before recording.

If this field is set to y, callers are prompted to address voice mail messages before recording them. Subscribers who ignore the prompt can still edit the address list after they create the message.

MULTIMEDIA PARAMETERS

Text to Speech Conversion:

headers_and_bodies

This field is used to determine what text components of the message to convert to speech. Text components can originate from an IMAPI client application or an email system.

The value "headers_only" indicates that text-to-speech (TTS) will be used to speak items within message headers, for example, the subject, the sender's name, and so on.

The value "headers_and_bodies" indicates that TTS will be used to speak text items within message headers along with the text component of the message body.
