Recording names for enhanced lists

Once you establish an enhanced list, it is a good idea to record a name for the list. That way, subscribers hear a meaningful name for the list when they use the telephone user interface to address a message to an enhanced-list mailbox for distribution. However, if you choose not to record a list name, the system's text-to-speech capability will voice the name you entered in the Create a New Enhanced List page.

To record a name for an enhanced-list:

  1. From a touchtone telephone, log in to the Enhanced List maibox you created..
  2. Press 4 to access the Personal Configuration menu.
  3. Press 1 to access the Record Prompts menu.
  4. Press 6 to record a name for the mailbox.
  5. After the tone, speak the name of the list.
  6. Press 1 to save the name, press 2 to rerecord the name, or 3 to delete it and start over.
  7. Press * to return to the main menu.
