Customizing TTS pronunciation with the RealSpeak TTS3000 engine (non-English languages only)

You may need to add the following to the TTS pronunciation dictionary:

To customize TTS pronunciation:

Repeat the following procedure for all MASs in the voice mail domain.

  1. Run TTSUDE60.EXE by double-clicking it.
  2. This file is located in the Vserver directory from the Modular Messaging base directory, for example:

    C:\Program Files\Avaya Modular Messaging\Vserver
    \TTSUDE60.EXE

  3. In the TTS3000 User Dictionary Editor, create a user dictionary for the required language.
  4. Tip: You can find information about customizing TTS pronunciation by clicking the Help tab in the User Dictionary Editor.

    User dictionaries must be copied to the directory, Program Files\MMS\VServer, on the MAS machine on which TTS engines are installed.

    Depending on the language, user dictionaries must have the following names:

    Language
    User Dictionary name
    French
    TTS3000FrenchUsrDict.dcb
    German
    TTS3000GermanUsrDict.dcb
    Italian
    TTS3000ItalianUsrDict.dcb
    Dutch
    TTS3000DutchUsrDict.dcb
    Spanish
    TTS3000SpanishUsrDict.dcb
    Brazilian Portuguese
    TTS3000Brazilian PortugueseUsrDict.dcb
    Japanese
    TTS3000JapaneseUsrDict.dcb
    Chinese
    TTS3000ChineseUsrDict.dcb
    Korean
    TTS3000KoreanUsrDict.dcb

  5. Repeat Step 2 for all TTS languages.
