Overview of Caller Applications Editor

To create and deploy caller applications, use the Caller Applications Editor.

Starting Caller Applications Editor

To start the Caller Applications Editor, click Start > Programs > Avaya Modular Messaging > Caller Applications.

The systems displays the Caller Applications window.

Caller applications are represented in a hierarchical tree structure in the left pane of the MMC console. The tree can have the following levels:

You perform tasks in the Action menu. The system adds menu items to this menu.

Action menu

The Action menu is context sensitive. The contents of this menu vary according to the node level selected in Caller Application Editor. The following tables list the caller application menu options:

Open Application
Displays a dialog box listing all the caller applications that are available for editing.
New - Caller Application
Creates a new caller application node below the Caller Apps node.
Properties
Displays Caller Applications Editor properties.

Result
Save Application
Saves the caller application with the same application name and embedded ID and also increments its revision number.
Save Application as
Saves the caller application with a new application name and embedded ID. On the next deployment, this caller application will be treated as a new application by the MASs in the voice mail domain.
Close Application
Closes the caller application. The system prompts you to save editing changes made since the last save.
New - Application Node
Creates a new application node below the caller application.
Properties
Displays the properties for the caller application.
Action menu items - Application node level

Result
Change access key
Changes the keypress required by the caller to access the application node.
New - Application Node
Creates a new application node below the caller application node or currently selected application node.
Delete
Deletes an application node. If the application node is referenced by other nodes, the system displays a dialog box with information on the referenced nodes.
Properties
Displays the properties for the application node.
