Recording prompts

The system plays a prompt when a caller accesses an application node that is configured to use a prompt. Any actions assigned to the node occur after the prompt has been played.

Caller applications use two types of prompts:

To display the Prompt tab:

  2. Click Action > Properties.
  3. Click the Prompt tab.

To record Application prompts:

  1. Select the Play entry prompt check box.
  2. This enables the voice controls on this page.

  3. Click Application prompt.
  4. To add a new prompt, click the Add icon .
  5. Caller Applications Editor creates a list entry for the prompt.

  6. Under Comments, enter a name and description for the prompt.
  7. The system generates the prompt number automatically.

  8. Click the Record icon .
  9. Record the prompt.
  10. You can record prompts using multimedia or the telephone, depending on the audio device you have chosen. For information on setting up the audio device, see Configuring Editor properties.

    2 Telephone.

  6. Click the Add icon .
  7. The system displays an area for entering comments on the Announcement screen.

  8. Under Comments, enter a comment, if desired.
