Setting up Transfer nodes

Transfer nodes can be used to transfer a caller to a mailbox or an extension number.

To set up a Transfer node:

  1. Click the Information node and right-click to display the menu.
  2. Click New > Application node.
  3. The system displays the Add Node dialog box.

  4. Give the new application node a name. In this example, it is called Hardware Products.
  5. Select the Transfer action type and:
    • Give it a key press value. In this example the key press value is 1.
    • Type a short description into the Description field.
  6. Click OK.
  7. The new application node appears on the application tree and the system displays the Caller Application dialog box.

  8. On the property page:
    • Click Extension.
    • Enter the extension number that the call is transferred to. In this example the number is 3100.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Select the Information menu node and add another Transfer node:
    • Give it a name. In this example it is called Software Products.
    • Give it a key press value. In this example it has the key press value 2.
    • Enter the extension number that the call is transferred to. In this example the number is 3110.
