Editing a class-of-service

Use the Edit a Class-of-Service page to modify a class-of-service.

Note: You can use this procedure or the Mailbox Manager application to edit class-of-service information. It is recommended that you use the Mailbox Manager application to take advantage of the application's advanced class-of-service editing features. For more information about Mailbox Manager, see the Mailbox Manager User Guide.

Before changing class-of-service options, consider that a change affects all subscribers to whom you have assigned that class-of-service. For example, if you change the Message Waiting Indication Allowed drop-down list from yes to no for the class-of-service named class04, Message Waiting Indication (MWI) will no longer be triggered when a new message is present for all subscribers assigned class04.

For information about the modifying the Email (Internet Messaging) Class-of-Service, see Administering Email (Internet Messaging). For information about administering a Class-of-Service for ELA, see Administering the ELA class-of-service. For information about administering classes-of-service for time zones that are different from the system (MSS) time zone, see Administering time zone classes-of-service.

It is recommended that you print a copy of the class-of-service information for your records.
