MAS - SA - Modular Messaging - Extension Number Options Dialog Box

The Extension Number Options dialog box is launched via the Options button in the Modular Messaging tab. See MAS - SA - Modular Messaging Tab.

You can use the Extension Number Options dialog box to set up a secondary extension for a subscriber. The secondary extension is an alternative number that might be used by outside callers or by callers who call for a specific type of service. In either case, a secondary extension may offer specialized greetings or call handling that are different from greetings or call handling of the subscriber’s primary extension.

Call handling on the secondary extension could also be performed by a caller application developed specifically for the subscriber. You should already have a caller application developed before assigning its extension to a subscriber. For more information, see MAS - Caller Applications (CA) Editor.

To configure the secondary extension, complete the following fields:

Subscriber extensions

Adds a line to the list. You must then set the Extension number. You can also set a Caller application, if you wish.

Deletes the extension selected in the list. The system prompts you to confirm the deletion.

Extension number Enter the secondary extension number for the subscriber.

Caller application If desired, select a caller application from the list to assign to the subscriber’s secondary extension. The caller application may or may not already have its own extension already assigned to it.
