VMSC - VMD - Telephone User Interface - Attendant Schedules Tab

Use the Telephone User Interface dialog box, Attendant Schedules tab to set up attendant schedule properties for a voice mail domain. You can edit, copy, rename and delete existing schedules, and create new schedules.

The Attendant Schedule defines the availability of a subscriber’s personal operator. A subscriber can configure an extension number as a personal operator number. The personal operator replaces the system-wide operator during the times specified in the Attendant Schedule.

Note: In Avaya Modular Messaging software, the concept of the “Receptionist” is used on a system-wide level, however it is sometimes referred to as the “Operator”. Some Avaya software modules can also be configured to use a “Personal Operator” for a particular mail box. This is sometimes referred to as the “Custom Operator” or “Backup Operator”.

To open the Telephone User Interface dialog box:

  1. In the Voice Mail System Configuration window, click the voice mail domain.
  2. Double-click Telephone User Interface. The system displays the Telephone User Interface dialog box for the selected VMD, with the General tab active.
  3. Click the Attendant Schedules tab.

To configure Telephone User Interface Attendant Schedules properties, complete the following fields:
