The external host file lists the remote machines directly connected to the MSS for which DNS is not used. Use the following procedure to delete an external host from the list.
To delete an external host:
- Starting from the MSS Messaging Administration menu, select
Basic Administration > TCP/IP Administration > External Hosts Administration.
The system displays the External Host Administration page. The table on the page lists the IP address, host name, and alias (if defined) of each remote machine directly connected to the MSS.
- Select the external host you want to modify and then click Delete.
The system displays a message that the external host is deleted.
- Click OK.
The External Host Administration page displays the updated information.
- Click Return to Main to return to the Messaging Administration main menu.
