Correcting connectivity diagnostic failures

To correct connectivity diagnostic failures for the system:

  1. On the Test Packet results page, click Cancel.
  2. The system displays the Send & Receive Test Packets From page.

  3. Verify that the IP address you entered into the IP Address field is correct:
    • If it does not match, re-enter the correct address and repeat the Transmitting test packets procedure.
    • If it matches, continue with Step 3.
  4. Click Cancel until you reach the TCP/IP Administration and Diagnostics page.
  5. Set up network addressing. See Chapter 3, "Doing initial MSS administration," in the Installation and Upgrades guide (pdf) for more information.
  6. Attempt the test again. If the test is successful, continue with Verifying the IP address for networked machines. If the test fails a second time, contact your remote support center.
