This topic provides information about administering subscribers on the MSS:
- Managing local subscribers: Local subscribers are users that reside on the local Modular Messaging system.
- Managing remote subscribers: Remote subscribers are subscribers on networked machines who exchange messages with the subscribers on your system. Administering remote subscribers enables your system to know where to send messages when a local subscriber records a message and addresses the message to a remote extension.
Note: For more advanced subscriber management, it is recommended that you use the Mailbox Manager application to manage local subscribers and classes-of-service. See the Mailbox Manager User Guide for more information.
