Backing up the MSS

Modular Messaging allows you to back up critical MAS and MSS data. You can use the backed-up data to restore data to the servers if a system failure occurs. This topic provides information about backing up the MSS. For information specifically about backing up and restoring MAS data, see MAS backup and restore.

You can back up data on the MSS to backup media in the local DVD-RAM drive installed in the MSS or to a remote storage location on the network via FTP or SFTP.
