Connect TDM/LAN Cables and ICC Cables for EPN Upgrade [75 XE upgrade]

System 75 XE to R8si (Blowback)

Note:

This procedure is for dual cabinet (EPN) upgrades only.

Use this procedure to route and connect the new WP-91716 L3 TDM/LAN cables between the System 75 XE port cabinets that are being reused.

Caution!

Do not run the new cables through the existing slot in the rear shelves.

For a duplicated system, connect the ICC cables as shown in the Intercabinet Cable Connections -- EPN table and in TDM/LAN Connections for Release 8si EPN, ICC Pin-Field Blocks on J58890N Expansion Control Cabinet and ICC Pin-Field Blocks on J58890H Port Cabinet.

On the A carrier, verify the CFY1 current limiter (CURL) is properly connected to pin-field block 00 (see ICC Pin-Field Blocks on J58890H Port Cabinet). The CURL's components should be on the left side as viewed from the rear.
