Forwarding your calls to another telephone


Avaya one-X Portal retains your telephone availability settings after you log out. Calls will continue to also ring, to be forwarded to your selected telephone, or to go directly to your coverage path until you reset your telephone availability. Depending upon the option you configured, you can reset your telephone availability in one-X Portal or on your desk telephone.

  1. From Application controls, select Settings.
  2. In the Welcome window, select Forward.
  3. In the Forwarddrop-down, do one of the following:
    • Select the desired telephone number from the drop-down list.

    • Select Specify Other and add the new remote telephone number in the Specify Other Phone dialog box.

    If the telephone number does not meet one of the following criteria, one-X Portal may not be able to forward calls to the telephone:

    • In North America, begin the telephone number with +1 and include the area code.

    • Include all numbers that you would dial from your office extension to reach the telephone number.

  4. If you added a new remote telephone number:
    1. Click Test to test the connection to the telephone and verify that one-X Portal can access the telephone.
    2. Optional: Check Save to phone number settings to have one-X Portal add the telephone number to your mobility settings.
    3. After the test succeeds, click OK.
  5. In the Welcome window, click OK.
