Mode Settings window

You use the Mode Settings window to change your telephone availability.

Important

Avaya one-X Portal retains your telephone availability settings after you log out. Calls will continue to also ring, to be forwarded to your selected telephone, or to go directly to your coverage path until you reset your telephone availability. Depending upon the option you configured, you can reset your telephone availability in one-X Portal or on your desk telephone.

Displays the message for your presence mode when using this mode.

Place and receive calls using

Determines which telephone one-X Portal will use for calls.

You can choose one of the following telephones:

  • Desk phone: if you are in your office.

  • Specify other: such as your home telephone, a cell phone, or another location.

  • This computer: if the computer has the required software, speakers, and a microphone.

  • None No telephone: clear all options if you do not want to use a telephone in your current session.

also ring

Selects an additional telephone number that rings for incoming calls. Automatically retains the telephone that you chose when you logged in.

Forward

Selects an alternate telephone number where all incoming calls are forwarded. Automatically deselects the telephone that you chose when you logged in.

Do Not Disturb

Does not select any telephone numbers for your telephone settings. Automatically deselects the telephone that you chose when you logged in. All incoming calls go to your coverage path. For example, your calls may go directly to your voice mail.

This option allows you to be unavailable to incoming calls on your work extension.
