Web Agent Procedure

To display the DVMRP global statistics:

  1. In the navigation pane, expand the Routing > DVMRP folders, and then click Global Statistics.
  2. The DVMRP Global Statistics Web page is displayed in the content pane. See Figure�119.

Statistic
Description
Probe Messages Received
Number of probe messages received on this switch. DVMRP routers exchange probes and routing updates so they each have a picture of their neighbors' capabilities and the DVMRP network topology.
Report Messages Received
Number of Route Report messages received on this switch.
Prune Messages Received
Number of Prune messages received on this switch. This indicates the number of old branches removed from the multicast distribution tree.
Graft Messages Received
Number of Graft messages received. This indicates the number of attempts at adding a new branch to the multicast distribution tree.
Graft Acknowledgments Received
Number of Graft acknowledgments received.
Unknown Message Codes Encountered
Number of messages received that are not graft, report, or probe messages.
Probe Messages Transmitted
Number of Probe messages transmitted to the network.
Report Messages Transmitted
Number of Report messages transmitted on this switch.
Prune Messages Transmitted
Number of Prune messages transmitted upstream on this switch. This indicates the number of old branches removed from the multicast distribution tree.
Graft Messages Transmitted
Number of Graft messages transmitted upstream from this switch. This indicates the number of new upstream branches added to the multicast distribution tree.
Graft Acknowledgments Transmitted
Number of Graft acknowledgments sent downstream from this switch. This indicates the number of new downstream branches added to the multicast distribution tree.
