Before you can establish a Telnet session you must configure an IP interface to allow management of the switch. Using the IP Interfaces Web page or a CLI command, create an IP interface and set the IP Routing option to either Routing/Mgmt or Mgmt Only. For more information on setting up an IP interface on the switch, see "Creating and Assigning IP Interfaces to the VLAN" in Chapter 12:�Configuring IP Routing.
