Web Agent Procedure

To set which categories of protocol events generate notifications:

  1. In the navigation pane, expand the Events folder and then click Protocol Events.
  2. The Protocol Event Management Web page is displayed in the content pane. See Figure�229.

  1. Enable the categories of protocol events for which you want to generate notifications. See Table�161 for an explanation of each category.
  2. Click APPLY.

Event Category
Description
Fault
Serious errors that can cause a system crash, for example, panic. The default setting is Disable.
Error
Serious errors that will not cause a system crash but can contribute to protocol problems.
Warning
Noncritical errors. The default setting is Disable.
Info
Event details. The default setting is Disable.
Trace
Packet traces. The default setting is Disable.
If you enable Trace logging, all protocol packets sent and received are logged as protocol events.
Debug
Event messages used to troubleshoot a network problem. The default setting is Disable.
