Figure77:Example of How NEDR Works
In Figure77, the rising threshold is set to 1000, and the falling threshold is set to 500. The first time that the rate of CRC errors exceeds the rising threshold, NEDR logs the event in the event log or disables the port. If you set the feature to notify, NEDR does not log another event until the rate of CRC errors drops below the falling threshold and then exceeds the rising threshold again. If you set NEDR to disable-port, the feature disables the port the first time that the rate of CRC errors exceeds the rising threshold. The port remains disabled until you reenable it, or until you remove and replace/reinsert a module of the exact type.
