


Use this screen to set up the optional modem to report alarms to an Avaya Services agency (or another trouble-tracking service).
If an Avaya maintenance contract is in place, the values on this screen must be provided by the Avaya Services center.
Services personnel may dial in through the modem to resolve problems, but this action prevents the server from reporting any new alarms while the line is in use. See Hardware and software requirements for details.
To set up the optional modem interface:
Type the IP address associated with the dial-up link that accesses the modem. Refer to your preinstallation worksheet.
The default IP address shown on this page is always changed for a new installation.
If no modem is present, ignore this screen and click Continue.
Accept the default values for any return routes unless your Services representative specifically directs you to change them.
When finished, click Continue.
