Update warning

This is the final step in configuring the system. When you click Continue, all the configuration information will be written to disk and implemented. This step normally completes in about 5 minutes.

This topic covers:

Final configuration check

This is your last chance to cancel or correct the configuration. Before you proceed:

  1. If you are unsure about some of the information you entered:

  2. If you are satisfied that everything is set correctly, click Continue.

If the configuration status stops at some point and the screen appears to freeze, you may have lost contact with the server.  See Loss of server connection for details.

Accessing a reconfigured interface

If you reassigned the Ethernet interface that you are currently logged into (either the services or the administrative interface) on the Set Server Identities screen, you will lose contact with the server when it reconfigures that interface. The configuration process will continue, but you will not see the final messages.

If you do reconfigure your active interface, do the following:

  1. When the interface you're using is reconfigured, the status display will stop following the message "Restarting ethernet interfaces".

  2. Unplug the appropriate Ethernet cable on the server and move it to the interface that you just configured.

  3. You will be able to log back in, but you won't see the end of the configuration notices.
