Use this screen to find out what version of software this Avaya media server is currently running. You may want to check your software version before, during, or after you install new software. See Software installation at a glance for details.
To see what version of software that this server is running:
On the web administration interface's main menu under Server Configuration and Upgrades, click the View Software Version link.
The View Software Version screen appears. Details about the software are listed as follows:

2.2.17-14.1s11 is the release (by field: major release, minor release, development release - subrelease, Avaya release).
i686 is the processor type
system manufacturer (often simply unknown)
Built: The month, day, time and year that the software release was produced.
Contains: The issue and load number of the software that is running on the server. This is the software release identifier that appears on the View Partition Status screen.
Reports as: The fuller version of the software release name. For example, R011x.00.1.056.0 indicates:
Product string, such as R011, identifies the software product (Release 11).
BootImage, such as x, identifies the target ("x" is for Linux).
Major release, such as 00. The major release number is incremented to mark a significant phase of R011 product evolution; when this happens, the minor release number is reset to 0.
Minor release, such as 1, indicates changes within a major release. The major release and minor release numbers together are used to identify the issue of software (for example, issue 11.1).
Load number, such a 056, is incremented for each new software build.
Final number: additional release number, for internal use only.
Saved: The month, day, and time that the software translations were last saved to the translations directory (this may change to month-day-year format depending on the elapsed time since the translations were saved). Two dates are shown because two copies of the translations are always saved.
License installed: The month, day, and time that the license for this software release was installed. The time may be shown in month-day-year format depending on how long the license has been installed.
When finished, continue working with the web media server as needed.
