Problem Clarification

caller name information turns to private when a call from analog phone on CS1K are redirected by CISCO set to another device.


Analog set calls over QSIG to Cisco. If the call is redirected
on the Cisco side a FAC message is sent back to the CS1K. The CS1K sends a FAC back
to Cisco with namePresentationRestrictedSimple.
This only happens if the call is from an analog
set on the CS1K. If a 3900 series makes the same call the name is displayed.

Customer Upgraded to 7.6
analog phone----->CS1K----->QSIG------>CISCO--->redirect

when a call is processed to Cisco via analog phone the name is displayed .

when cisco redirects the same call names is changed to private. the issue is only
with analog phones. issue occured after the upgrade



Cause


The root cause of the problem has been identified. It is a product defect introduced in Release 6, so not visible to the customer on 5.5


Solution

Corrective patch MPLR33147 for 7.65 CPP4 is provided.
