General recommendation for security scans as follows: • ELAN is considered an isolated LAN. It should be excluded from scanning. If the ELAN/TLAN is routed for some reason, customer can isolate the specific ports that have been routed. • TLAN is connected to customer LAN --- so not an issue to scan TLAN. • Security scan should be carried out during a maintenance window / after-hours. • Ensure all components are on latest software releases – e.g. R7.6 Service Pack 4 as per SP4 Release Notes.
