CS1000 7.6 SP5 is available via ESPL
https://espl.avaya.com/espl/
ESPL will continue to be the delivery mechanism for CS1000 Service Packs moving forward.
(we have provided an additional link from ESPL to PLDS at the point of Linux SP download, as we did with previous SP releases, so that it can be downloaded also from PLDS providing faster download time for this 1 file).
As well as the usual quality / stability updates one would expect in a Service Pack, SP5 does also introduce the following.
CS1K was last adopter on older Avaya Media Server (AMS) 7.0 - AMS 7.6 support is added with SP5. It is not allowed to mix AMS 7.0 / 7.6 in one cluster.
To align with corporate mandate, SP5 also introduces support for SHA-256 for SSL (UCM), TLS (SIP trunk/line) and DTLS ( UNIStim 5.5.2 is required).
The Routing Service Gateway (RSG) capability was tested with SP5 and will have its own document shortly. RSG facilitates the migration of an older networked CS1K environment, to R7.6 and / or Aura, via SM - as SM supports direct connectivity for R7.5 and R7.6 only.
RSG has one R7.6 node in the network act as a gateway / bridge between the older (NRS based) CS1K nodes, and the newer (SM based) CS1K / Aura environment. A dedicated SIP Gateway is used for each of NRS and SM connectivity on that gateway R7.6 node.
