Hello, sorry if I put this in the wrong place.
I'm new to the whole voice portal and orchestration application experience. We've gotten help from Avaya and have our servers up and running and I've built a test application that seems to be working up to a point.
My question is this: What is the most common, or industry standard, way for handling speech?
We didn't buy any text to speech components, so when it comes time for the application to say the balance things don't work. I've got wav files for the prompts and just about everything except for reciting digits.
So, do most people go ahead and pay for the text to speech package so the account numbers and dollar amounts are spoken that way, or do people tend to parse the dollars and account numbers and play a combination of wav files? I imagine that the logic for figuring out individual wav files would be lengthy.
Thanks for your input and thoughts!
