External device alarm clearing
Does anyone know if the external device alarms in CM 5.2.1 clear themselves now? It used to be that you had to manually clear them. The last three external devices alarms that I have received, retired on their own. Thanks.

The CM maintenance object (MO) is EXT-DEV. I tested this in my lab using both the external alarm contacts on the AUX/IPSI input leads as well as using an analog port administered as an external alarm. In both cases CM generated a Major alarm. When I cleared the alarm condition the alarm was automatically resolved in CM after a short amount of time.

CM's alarming strategy is to automatically clear alarms once the alarm condition is resolved.
