8434 Name Display when using DCS Software and Conference Call
 
A call is being made from an 8434D phone on New York Definity to extension 6022 in the Memphis Definity using DCS software to complete the call. When the call is made, the 8434D display reads "USER NAME .". At that point, the party in Memphis places a conference call to another party and at that time, the displayed name on the 8434 in New York changes to "USER NAME" followed by some random character.
Is this a known issue and is there a solution to this problem? This is occuring when the user name field contains a name exceeding 14 characters.

Hello ,

From the description it clearly states that there is a problem if the display characters are above 14 .

I suspect that this is a kind of limitation the 8434 sets have..I have checked and the phones are already in extendes supported warranty... Please see if you see the same problem with any of the other digital sets 24x or 64x

If you have further queries.. pls raise a case with Backbone.. and they will take care of it.
