Default IR1.3 - jdbcdip for Oracle 10g

I have a problem. please see the below.
I got this message,
JDBC Administration - Test

Test Database Connection failed

Following is the exception :

java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor The Connection descriptor used by the client was: (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(HOST=CAMS)(PROTOCOL=tcp)(PO RT=1521))

I searched about that error code(ORA-12505).
someone tell me, If I need to connect to 10g, I have to use SERVICE_NAME. not SID.

I'm managing IR1.3 and IR have connections to Oracle 10g(remote).
When IR had connections to Oracle 9i(remote), there was no problem.
I think jdbcdip is old version. it support only Oracle 8 or 9i. right?

Any idea? Is there new jdbcdip for Oracle 10g?
How can IR1.3 connect to Oracle 10g?

I'm not good at English.
Just hope you understand what I'm saying.

I'm waiting for your reply. :")
Thanks. Have a great day.

Hi ,

Yes you are correct IR uses different Driver for oracle 10g however you are using IR 1.3 which is never tested with Oracle 10g and it is not expected to work and it may work. If you want to try you can download the oracle 10g driver from oracle site and use it.

Default I already test it. :")

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
But I already test it with jdbc driver for 10g before I post.

I mean I need new jdbcdip for Oracle 10g.
I think the jdbcdip which is on IR1.3 is not working with Oracle 10g.
