During the WFO v12 installation, the Cognos setup stops and gives the following error.
ERROR DatabaseHelper:isExistingDBWinAuth:1927 - There is an error whi trying to connect database server: METWFO2.metlab.com on port: 1433 under domain: metlab and user: appacc java.sql.SQLException: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. The setup is a consolidated server setup and DC & SQL server is also installed on the same server. SQL server is on mixed mode authentication. I've tried almost all the SQL related issues on the regular internet searches and nothing seems to help. Any ideas would be appreciated. |

After days (weeks) of re-installation, I finally did a manual installation for Cognos (during the setup stage where Cognos was being installed) and used an SQL account instead of a domain account. I was finally able to complete the consolidated server installation.

Thanks for posting the update - hopefully that will help someone else if they encounter this in the future.
