Unhappy ip office 500 Discover x.x.x.x

I have an IP Office 500 with Avaya 9650 desk phones. Of late everytime I try to clear down a handset or move a handset the phone will boot up. you see it looking for the relevant files and then it will just display "Discover x.x.x.x where x is the call server address.
No changes have been made on our domain or our phone system. Struggling with this and can't seem to get it resolved. Any help would be appreciated.

It appears your phone cannot find a DHCP server.

I would recommend checking if the DHCP server is reachable from the phone's subnet. Check that the local router used by your phone is forwarding UDP/67 to the DHCP server, and allowing UDP/68 data into the subnet from the DHCP server.

I'll assume your DHCP server has all the appropriate options configured (1,3,6,12,15,42,51, 53, 55, 57, 58, 59).

You may also want to check that the LAN cable is plugged into the correct RJ-45 jack, and not into the Computer RJ-45 jack. Very common problem.
