How to dial pause character in One-X Communicator

With the upgrade to Win7, my company upgraded from Avaya IP Softphone to Avaya One-X Communicator 5.2. I often call into conferences hosted on a conference system. With these types of calls, you call an 800 number, wait for it to answer, then dial a conference code. IP Softphone had a useful feature that supported this type of call. From a contact entry or by pasting into the number box on the dial pad, I could enter pause characters (commas) after the 800 number then the conference code. For example 800-555-2222,,,123-4567# would call the number, wait for the answer, and log me into the conference automatically.

This feature seems to not be in One-X communicator. I think I have tried all the keyboard special and alphabetic characters and none seems to create a pause.

Is there a way to add a pause character to a dial string in One-X Communicator?

    Hi,

I just tried this with One-X Com 6.2 and it works as a charm (with , as the pause character).

So maybe try the latest and greatest client, and try again?

    Download: https://support.avaya.com/downloads/...eleaseId=6.2.x

    Hope this help,
    Arne

I think you need to check same with latest version of One-X Communicator.

Thanks for the reply. I am encouraged that the comma = pause feature is available in the current release so it is likely I will get it some day. I am not allowed to download/install any software to my machine. What I will do is look for the right way to suggest my company upgrade One-X Communicator.
