Default hunt group as main number for a site without Media Gateway

Taking the example of a remote site without Media Gateway and hence without any survivability. The main number of that site is mapped to a hunt group (non-ACD) with members only at that site. If the WAN access for the site drops long enough for all IP phones to become unregistered, will the coverage path of the hunt group kick in for incoming calls? If yes, we can route the incoming calls to a backup group of agents at a more resilient site. If not, what will happen with the incoming calls? Thanks!

If no agent is available to take the call, then coverage should be followed. The first point in coverage could be another hunt group with agents in a different location.
