Hello
I am using 9600 phones with Juniper 4200 switches, I use LLDP with voip option on juniper to get the phone to join the voice vlan.
All works fine but when I look at layer 2 switching table on the switch I see phones MAC appear in both Data & Voice vlan, the reason this is happening according to Juniper is because after joining the voice vlan the phone keeps sending untagged LLDP packets, all untagged packets on a port drop to Data vlan hence that vlan updates switching table with MAC of that phone.
I have looked at the sniffer capture and can see LLDP as untagged but all other traffic is tagged to the voice vlan as I am using L2Q = 1 in the phone DHCP options.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue with Avaya phones or how to fix it??? I have tried firmware 3.10 & 3.11 for 9640.
