I've been trying to load IP Office Aplication Server 8.1.18-3 onto a Dell Dimension but it can't get past the language and keyboard selection screens. After I chose 'continue', I would get "bogl: opening /dev/fb0: no such file or directory" on the bottom of the screen and the installation process would restart. I re-downloaded the image and burned a new disk only to get the same result. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded it twice with the same result. I also downloaded an .iso of just CentOS 5.7 for giggles and had no problems installing it, however that distro does not come with bogl, which I found out is a Unicode graphics library (frame-buffer?). I know Linux a (very) little and was inclined to try to load everything manually, but that might be until I've exhausted every other option. I'm going to try the next version Application Server up (8.1.18.7) to see if I get the same problem. I'll let you know if it works or not. Thanks again.

Trouble installing IP Office Application Server 8.1.18
If you think you have a corrupt version of the software the download page has a CRC MD5 hash check you can preform to verify that you have a non- corrupt image:
Summary:
IP Office Applications Server 8.1.18(7) Q4 2012 Maintenance Release Software
File:
apps-8.1.18-7.iso , 8.1.x
IP Office Application Server 8.1.18(7) DVD Installation Image
File Size: 1.4Gb - MD5 = 635EDA4E7D6E29429A90565ABCADF546
Firefox has a nice plugin called Download Them All that allows you to put in the MD5 hash and after it is finished downloading it will tell you if the hash matches the number you put in. If it does the file is not corrupted.
Try this first and then try a different computer to burn the DVD and/or a different brand of DVD. There are ways to create a bootable USB thumb drive. But you shouldn't have to do that. It may also be your bios settings in your Dell computer. You may want to look at them to make sure something isn't set wrong.
